I soon found myself looking for new and fresh challenges, and after swimming the length of Windermere (10.5 miles), in 2012, I realised that this open water swimming ‘bug’ really wasn’t going to let go.

Since then I have completed a Channel Relay (2014) and become the 65th person in the world to achieve an Ice Mile*.

I am currently training to swim the English Channel solo, in September 2015, and the Gibraltar/Mediterranean Channel (from Spain to Morocco) in 2016.

I am now a qualified Level 2 Open Water Swimming Coach having passed the following courses with the STA (Swimming Teaching Association):

STA Pool to Open Water (15th March 2014)

STA Open Water Swimming Coaching (28th June 2014)

STA Safeguarding Children, Young People & Vulnerable Adults (18th June 2014)

STA Pool Emergency Procedures
